MC&S April 2024 Classes

 Hey Crafty Friends

We hope you all had a wonderful Easter and most importantly had some crafting time whilst gorging on Easter Eggs (Yum!!!).

Robyn's shoulder is on the mend and we can resume weekday classes.  Here's a sneak peak at this months class.

Altenew 10th Anniversary Blog Hop Day 2 + Giveaway (over $3,500 in Total Prizes)

Congratulations to the team at Altenew on their 10th Anniversary, we are excited to be asked to be part of their celebration on Day of the Blog - https://wp.me/p6Dps1-jYH 

In our Blog Hop post, we would like to feature Altenew's Mega Blossom Stencil set and have made 2 cards using it.

In making these cards, we have used Altenew's beautiful ink colours - Dried Petals and Forest Trail - oh my, I'm in love.

We started with colouring three Roses onto Laser card and used the colours Pink Crystal, Mauve and Berrylicious. We coloured the Leaves separate and used Aloe Vera, Matcha Tea and Swamp Green. I then cut out the images so I could layer them however I linked.

For our first card, we started with a card base of Bazzill Sweetheart, followed by Creampuff and Dotted Swiss Sunset Rose. We used the Organic Linen 3D Embossing Folder and inked it with Vanilla Cream before embossing a piece of Creampuff card. We adhered this to the left-centre of the card and then adhered the Leaves on top, followed by the Rose that has been adhered with mounting tape.

We stamped 'Bloom with Kindness' from the Dynamic Duo: Wildflower Bouquet using an Obsidian Black ink pad and cut it out using the matching die set. We then adhered this to the card using mounting tape.

For our second card, we used a base card of Bazzill Sweetheart, followed by layers of Bazzill Parakeet and Creampuff. We die cut a border from Tim Holtz' Crochet die set and adhered this across the base of the card.

We adhered the Leaves to the card and one of the Roses. The second rose and 'Just For You' (from Wildflower Bouquet) using mounting tape.

Pre-Order Spellbinders Advent Calendar

Now, now, before you moan at me about it not being Easter as yet and here we are talking about Christmas, but this is just a pre-order.

Spellbinders Crafty Advent Calendar has been growing in popularity each year and this year's is sure to be even better.

The Advent Calendars will ship to us in early September and be ready for you to use from 1 December or to even give them as Christmas gifts to crafty friends.

The Advent Calendars include 24 boxes, filled with specially designed dies, embossing folders, stamps, stencils and embellishments.

To make this year even better, Spellbinders will have a blog hop on each day, showing you ideas you can make as each day is opened.

MC&S March Classes

 Hey Crafty Friends

Hope you had a great weekend and was able to carve out some crafting time too.

Our March classes are ready to kick off, but as many of you know, Robyn had a shoulder replacement in February and whilst she hoped to be able to hold classes this month, it just isn't possible.

We have shuffled the classes as best we can and will now hold them on:

• Saturday 9th
• Sunday 10th
• Saturday 16th
• Sunday 17th 
• Saturday 23rd

Robyn is back to the doctor this week for an update and more exercises, so will hopefully be back up and running for the April classes.

So, back to our March classes, here's a sneak peak of our collection:

Those Gnomes are my favourite and I have just ordered extra stock from Art Impressions as I know they will be yours too.  The flowers from Pink Fresh Studios are beautiful and I love Sunflowers, so no surprise to see them there.

With this great collection of papers, ephemera and stickers, we have created 4 card kit, each with 5 cards.

With a basic kit of a paper trimmer, mounting tape, glue and a pink or purple ink pad (for edging papers), you can create these kits at home.
