Holiday Update

Hi Everyone

I'm not the best (at all) at posting while I'm on holidays, I think it has something to do with me being on a PC all day at work and then trying to avoid my laptop while on holidays.

Our holiday is going very well, we started in Memphis (yes, we went to Graceland) then onto New York for a week and walked our feet off but loved it and are now based in Orlando at Walt Disney World's Port Orleans - French Quarter hotel which is fantastic.  We have spent 2 days at Magic Kingdom (yes, we said Hi to Mickey for you Bev), a day at Animal Kingdom, a day at Universal Studios (we're Harry Potter fans) and a day at NASA.

Today was our craft shopping day which we were really looking forward to.  We were going to go south, however with the damage from Irma, we decided to stay around the Orlando area and my first opportunity to drive on the wrong side of the road, in the wrong seat - argggghhhh!!!

Our first stop was at My Favorite Things in Magnolia Avenue, Eustis around an hour from WDW.  MFT was lovely and a Copic class was underway while we were there.  We had a shop for stamps and dies and left with a rather heavy bag (sorry Dad).

We then saw a gift store across the road called Peddlers Wagon which was stunning.  We've never seen displays like this before and felt awful buying things as it was messing with the display - but let's just say that didn't stop us (sorry Dad).

Next we headed off to JoAnns in Orlando - wow, what a craft store.  Visiting in September is great as there is a mix of Autumn, Halloween and Christmas decorations.

There were so much to see and we spent over 2 hours there and may or may not have purchased some things (sorry Dad).

We then walked from JoAnn's to Hobby Lobby - yep, 2 large stores 5 minutes apart and another 2 hours later we left - oh my (sorry Dad).

Our last stop was to Michaels, which thankfully was a smaller store (although we now know where a larger store is) and only spent around an hour there.  I think we were a little purchased out, so no need to apologise to Dad as we didn't have to break $20.
We asked where to have dinner and the Olive Garden was recommended to us - it was soooo good we think it's our new favourite restaurant - yum!!!
Hoping you are all well.

Our bags are packed and we're off on HOLIDAYS!!

Hi Everyone

It's not that often that we get to head off on a holiday and today Michelle and Robyn are off on a holiday that we have planned for a long time.

Our bags are packed and it's off to Qantas that we go.  Our first stop is Memphis followed by New York and then Walt Disney World in Orlando...we are super excited.

A special thank you and shout-out to our Niece/Cousin - Kimberley Morrison from Flight Centre, Brookside who put together our awesome travel package.  Kimberley is very well travelled and knew exactly where we should stay and gave us great advice.

We will be on holidays until the 2nd of October, however Vince is at the store, ready to help you with online shopping and visits (just remember to phone 3888 2462 to make sure he is home).

Have a great September and we'll see you in October.

Sending Hugs

Hi Everyone

This gorgeous stamp set is from Penny Black and is called 'Whispers' (40-528) and is so much fun to colour.

I started by creating the background with two horizontal lines around 2/3 of the page and then added vertical lines to form the timber floor.  I then coloured the timber floor with Copic Markers - E31, E35, E37, E59.  I then layered up the card and added the words 'Sending Hugs' from My Favorite Things - All Occasion Sentiments.

Now it's time to start colouring the girls.  I coloured them with Copic Markers E00, E11, R20, Y11, E31, E35, E37, E59, R81, R83, R85 and R37.  After adhering the girls to the card with mounting tape, I added Crystal Stickles to the tutu's to perfect them.

Calendar Project: September 2017

Hi Everyone

Good morning SPRING!!!  Now, take that cool weather away and may everyone get over their colds and flu quick.

For my September calendar, I have used My Favorite Things - Fancy Flowers stamp set which I stamped all over the page using a Memento Tuxedo Black ink pad.

Now for the colouring, I have to admit, I really enjoyed these images as they are simple lines, yet you can have fun with different colour combinations and shading.

When colouring, I started by colouring the outside of the images, I used BG01 and then BG000.  I didn't colour the whole page, just around the images.  The leaves were coloured with YG61, YG63 and YG67.  For the flowers, I used Y21, YR24, YR68, RV52, RV55, V22, V25, V27, BG13 and BG49.

After layered the card up on Kaisercraft card and added the word 'September' from Scrapmatts, coloured with Broken China Distress Paint.

Hope you like our calendar page and have a wonderful September.
